Join Warwick Castle’s very own History Team for an evening of historical exploration in settings that date back over 1,100 years. The team will start the evening off with two tours: Women at Warwick and Upstairs, Downstairs. The Women at Warwick tour explores some of the most influential women in the Castle’s history. These include women from its foundation in 914AD by Princess Ethelfleda to Daisy, Countess of Warwick in the 20th century. Then join the Upstairs, Downstairs tour, which focuses on the Castle in the nineteenth century. This tour takes a look at the lives and relationships of masters and servants, and how their roles and responsibilities changed over time.
The evening will finish off in the State Dining Room with a live debate about the heroes and villains of the Wars of the Roses.
