A Study Day: 15 Women Who Shaped Warwick Castle
Monday 27 September
Meet at County Records Office
9.30am – 3.30pm
From the Norman Conquest to the Second World War, the story of Warwick Castle and its Earls was influenced, designed, controlled, even betrayed, by the wives, daughters, and housemaids who lived and worked there.
On this full day’s study, local historians, Aaron Manning and Adam Busiakiewicz, and special guest Melissa Perry, will chart the way women shaped the fate and fortunes of Warwick Castle, the town, and the lives of their husbands, through patronage, politics, dynasty, art and architecture, and rebellion.
Event Supported by The Rt. Hon. Lady Brooke
Tickets include lunch and access to the Warwickshire County Records Office, St Mary's Church, and Warwick Castle.
Comfortable footwear is advised. The Study Day includes steep steps and walking.
There are limited places available for the Study Day. Please book in advance through the Box Office on 01926 33 44 18
