King Richard III remains one of the most controversial figures in British history.
Matthew Lewis’s biography follows Richard from cradle to grave to build up a story of changing fortunes, insecurity and an unexpected rise to the throne.
From a childhood plagued by insecurity to life as the most powerful nobleman in England, Richard would face the most tumultuous year of his life in 1483. Amid hotly disputed events, Richard would become king.
