Women of the Wars of the Roses: Blood, Crowns and Power

Saturday 10 October
Castle Hill Baptist Church
7.30pm

The so-called ‘Wars of the Roses’ are often remembered as a bloody clash between brothers, cousins and ambitious men.

And yet, this was also a time of extraordinary female energy, where women became active players in the events through which they were living in a way that hadn’t been seen in England before.

Women who were wives, mothers, sisters, cousins … who drove the conflict from behind the throne – and even on the battlefield.

Join Matt Lewis, Nathen Amin and Nicola Tallis as they return to Warwick to unpick the fierce political intelligence, resilience, and determination of some of the most extraordinary women of the 15th century.
